The discoloration caused by toilet cleaners containing dyes is usually due to the fact that the toilet is older and the surface has therefore become porous, as the company Henkel informs in its own online magazine.
Existing limescale deposits also create a rough surface on which the color pigments adhere.

Toilet blocks: how do I remove discoloration in the toilet?
There are various ways to deal with discoloration caused by toilet products.
The following home remedies and cleaners can help:
Scouring milk
: Due to its abrasive effect, scouring milk can be fatal to stubborn dirt on surfaces.
Just make sure you only use it on materials where the risk of abrasion is low - otherwise you may create an even rougher surface for dirt to collect on.
Scouring milk is suitable for materials such as ceramics, metal, stone or stainless steel.
Put some of the agent on the toilet brush and use it to clean the discolored area in the toilet.
Leave it on for several minutes and rinse again to remove any residue of dirt and scouring milk.

Citric acid
: Since the discoloration mostly occurs as a result of lime deposits or urine scale, it can be helpful to simply take action against this soiling.
A common household remedy is citric acid: Put three to four spoons of it in the toilet bowl in the evening and leave it on overnight.
Flush the toilet in the morning and brush well again.
Baking soda and vinegar
: Vinegar essence is another classic cleaning product - apply half a bottle to toilet deposits and leave overnight.
The next morning, the urine stone should be able to be removed with the brush.
But if it isn't, you can repeat the process - only this time you add three to four tablespoons of baking soda to the vinegar essence.
The next day, clean the toilet again with the toilet brush.
