(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 13 - A United States federal appeals court has temporarily approved, under strict conditions, the use of the abortion pill.
A three-judge panel on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans ruled to keep mifepristone available but with stricter rules that include requiring in-person appointments with doctors to receive the drug.
The US Justice Department had requested the suspension of the sentence of a Texas federal judge who had blocked the sale of the abortion pill Mifepristone, widely used throughout the United States.
