(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 13 - The increase or decrease of "immigrants" has a "significant impact" on debt: in the sensitivity scenarios with respect to demographic variables, the Defsi estimates a +33% increase in immigrants, a decrease in debt per 2070 by "more than 30" points "compared to the reference scenario", and vice versa.
"Given the demographic structure of immigrants entering Italy, the effect is significant on the resident population of working age and therefore on the job offer".
The other variables are life expectancy (which increases and does not "much" change the forecasts) and "fertility" (which decreases and causes debt to increase).
