(ANSA) - CAIRO, APRIL 18 - The Sudanese army will ignore the 24-hour ceasefire proposal accepted by the paramilitaries: the general command of the Sudanese Armed Forces declared it on Facebook, writing that "we are not aware of any coordination with the mediators and the international community for a truce and the declaration of the rebellion on a 24-hour truce is intended to hide the crushing defeat it will suffer in a few hours".
"We have entered a decisive phase and our efforts are focused on achieving the objectives at the operational level," adds the Office of the Armed Forces Official Spokesperson.
