The TMZ website reported that behind the scenes there is a war going on between the couple, and Doherty's PR woman hinted very heavily that it was infidelity that led to the difficult decision.

The couple got married in 2011 and according to the documents they separated last January.
In recent years, Doherty has been fighting cancer that is in advanced stages, which complicates the complex situation.
"She's living with stage 4 cancer and the divorce is going very ugly. It's very difficult for her," said an associate of Doherty.
Yesterday (Saturday) Shanan published a post on her Instagram account and wrote "The only people who deserve to remain a part of your life are those who treat you with love, generosity and a lot of respect."
