(ANSA) - MADRID, APRIL 27 - An episode of anomalous heat for this period of the year is underway in Spain, with several temperature records in April broken in the last few hours: a situation that has led the government to issue a series of recommendations to the population, through the Ministry of Health.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has recorded in several provinces, such as those of Cordoba, Seville, Huelva or Cadiz, unprecedented highs in at least 40 years, exceeding 35 ºC.
Faced with this situation, the ministry advises precautions such as drinking frequently, paying particular attention to the elderly and children, avoiding sports activities between 12 and 17 or consuming light meals.
According to Aemet, temperatures should start to rise from Saturday.
