(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 27 - The Chamber rejects the budget variance.

The outcome of the vote was proclaimed by the vice president Fabio Rampelli but initially no one had understood that the rejection of that resolution, for which a qualified majority is required, would make it impossible to vote on the resolutions on the Def.

After almost a minute of uncertainty, the applause of the opposition started.

To be approved, the resolution on the budget variance in the House had to pass with at least 201 votes in favour, a goal that the majority missed by six votes.

The deputies of the majority voted in favour, those of the Pd and M5S abstained, while those of Avs and the Third Pole voted against.

Failure to approve the resolution on the budget variance does not allow for the resolutions to be voted on the Def.

There were 25 majority deputies who did not participate in the vote in the Chamber.

Scrolling through the voting records, it can be seen that the group with the most absentees was that of the Lega (11), followed by Fi (9) and five from Fdi.

The conference of group leaders of the House was immediately convened.

The request advanced by all the groups for a moment of reflection was therefore accepted after the rejection of the majority resolution on the budget variance preparatory to the vote on the resolutions on the Def.
