Recall at organic company "Taifun": Tofu product may contain plastic particles
"It cannot be ruled out that there are isolated pieces of white plastic in the product," says the company "Taifun" as the reason for the recall of the organic tofu.
According to
produktwarningen.eu,
foreign objects such as plastic splinters can generally "cause serious injuries in the mouth and throat area as well as internal injuries or bleeding".
Only products with batch L220 and an expiration date of May 2nd, 2023 are affected by the recall.
The manufacturer continues to emphasize that there is no danger for the same products with a different batch or other tofu products.
Customers are asked to return "Taifun" organic tofu to their store.
You get the purchase price refunded, the presentation of a receipt is not necessary.
The announcement does not indicate in which supermarkets the tofu is sold.
However, the manufacturer states on its official website that "Taifun" products are available in almost all health food stores, organic supermarkets and health food stores in Germany.
The organic products can also be purchased from various online shops.
