The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, Matías Lammens, visited the province of
Salta
within the framework of joint work with the province to promote the growth of the tourism sector.
There he was received by Governor Gustavo Sáenz and the provincial Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mario Peña.
“Salta is the
leading destination
of the fourth edition of PreViaje and it is no coincidence: it is the result of the enormous work of a great team, headed by Governor Sáenz and Minister Peña and with a fundamental conjunction with the private sector.
The province will not have a low season
: we expect more than 75,000 tourists during May and June.
This means that we are fulfilling the objective that we set ourselves”, highlighted Lammens.
The officials also announced the
return of the LATAM Lima-Salta air route
, which will recover its three weekly frequencies after being suspended due to the pandemic.

20,000 tourists per year
used this route before it was cancelled.

in terms of the internal market and also in receptive tourism thanks to the recovery of connectivity, a growth that would be impossible to achieve without joint work with Airlines Argentinas and with our municipalities," he said.
In her turn, Paola Contardo highlighted that Lima is the main LATAM hub, along with Santiago de Chile and San Pablo, to connect the South American region with the United States and the Caribbean.
"For this reason, pushing this flight from Lima is very important for us and we will continue working in this regard," she said.
