(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MAY 03 - "Member countries that wish to do so will be able to use part of the Pnrr funds for ammunition".
This was stated by the EU Commissioner for the Internal Market, Thierry Breton, presenting the new plan to produce one million ammunition a year in Europe, 'Act in support of ammunition production (ASAP)'.
The Recovery Fund "was specifically built for three main actions: the green transition, the digital transition and resilience. Intervening promptly to support industrial projects that are moving towards resilience, including defence, is part of this third pillar", highlighted the commissioner.
