Fed raises US interest rates by 0.25%

The Fed raised the interest rate by 0.25%, as expected.

This was the tenth consecutive hike by the central bank, sealing the fastest series of rate hikes in four decades. 

However, there is a possible pause in the series of increases.

The markets are waiting for a similar upward move by the ECB tomorrow.
