(ANSA) - ROME, 03 MAY - "On Artificial Intelligence we have potential as a country that must be valued, which can make us hope for an AI made in Italy, for systems structured according to our approach and vision. There are far-reaching risks but fear it must not be a brake tool, rather it must invite us to have a rule, a balance in development".
This was stated by the director of the national cybersecurity agency, Bruno Frattasi, in his speech at Itasec23 in Bari, the Italian conference on cybersecurity.
"I read of positions that - explained Frattasi - tend to make us see the future horizon of AI with suspicion, but we must think positively, conceive these systems as systems that improve the quality of our life. We must face this challenge - he added - with an innovative spirit econ balance and we have already started to do it".
