The rumors about the next iOS 17, the operating system for the iPhone, have followed each other quickly in the last period.

The reason is the approaching Apple developer conference, WWDC 2023, which will kick off on June 5 and during which the official update is expected.

According to the latest rumors, compared to iOS 16 it seems that Apple has focused less on aesthetic improvements of the software, already revised in many parts last year, to work more on specific features.

The main change should be in the background selection interface.

Users will be able to view up to nine background themes in a grid view, to also choose which ones to delete or move forward.

In this way, it will be easier to change the theme quickly, by holding down the touch on the main screen to bring up the menu.

From the lock screen, you can also share the wallpaper theme with other iPhone users.

The Health app will see the arrival of a Favorites section, arranged in a grid of individual cards, each of which could present graphs to display all the statistics on basic parameters.

The same revisitation for Wallet, the app that will separate payment cards from tickets for supported vehicles, also integrating menus for Cash, Keys, ID and Orders.

In particular, ID anticipates what the European Digital Identity Wallet should be, a single system for recognizing EU citizens valid both for relations with the public administration and third parties.

During 2022, some US states have already made it possible to register identity documents in the iPhone Wallet, including driving licenses.
