(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MAY 03 - "We find it outrageous that the premises of the European Parliament lend themselves to such baseness, hosting the exhibition promoted and organized - coincidentally - by the left with blasphemous, offensive and somewhat questionable contents. This is not art and, certainly , does not represent inclusion: it is just a mediocre and gratuitously provocative idea, aimed at insulting faith and disrespecting what millions of Europeans believe in".

This was declared by Paolo Borchia, MEP of the League, first signatory of the letter addressed to the president of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, co-signed by the MEPs of the League.

"We wrote a letter to the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola to express our disappointment and to highlight how this initiative is in breach with the European Parliament's code of conduct, which provides for respect, no discrimination or prejudice. The image of Jesus Christ represented in the

exhibition , on the other hand, is offensive to all elected officials, staff and European citizens who identify with the Christian religion. The EU must promote inclusion, not provocations", he concludes.
