(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MAY 03 - The new EU plan to produce one million rounds of ammunition a year "will help provide Ukraine with more ammunition to defend its citizens and will also strengthen our European defense capabilities".
This was stated by the president of the European Commission, Ursula von derLeyen, underlining that with the 'Act in support of ammunitionproduction (ASAP)' presented today, Brussels will mobilize, together with the Member States, "a further billion euros to enhance capacities throughout Europe".

"Europe - recalled the president of the European Commission - is strengthening its support on three axes.
