Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and… Brad Pitt?
Director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer announced at a conference in Miami on Thursday May 4 that the actor would drive an authentic single-seater during the Grand Prix of Silverstone, then during the following races, as part of the filming of a film on Formula 1.
An eleventh stable will thus be created from scratch for the needs of the film.
“Their feature film on F1 looks incredible, wrote journalist Will Buxton, moderator of the event, on his Twitter account.
They create an 11th team and run on the circuit during the Grand Prix of Silverstone and during all the races until the end of the year.
Before adding: “Yes.
Brad Pitt will drive an F1 from Silverstone for the rest of the season.

A “modified” F2
The news was first confirmed by specialist site
ESPN F1
.
But since then,
Variety and the
wearetherace
media
have nuanced these remarks.
According to them, the actor will actually drive a “modified” F2 on which Mercedes worked, the team of Lewis Hamilton, who co-produced the feature film himself and sheds light “on the story and the scenario, in order to to make sure it's the most accurate racing movie ever made," according to Will Buxton.
Brad Pitt will therefore not start alongside the other drivers on the grid at future Grands Prix.
The actor's exploits will also be filmed by a tiny 6K camera, when the circuit is empty, between the free practice sessions.
Formula 1 fans can therefore give up seeing Brad Pitt face Fernando Alonso or Carlos Sainz on the track.
