Will the record be broken again between seasons of "Stranger Things"? The fifth and final season of the popular Netflix retro series will not continue because of the Duffer brothers' solidarity with the striking writers.
What is an opponent stronger than Vecna? Unfair payment of the authors possibly. Matt and Ross Duffer, the showrunners of "Stranger Things," have released a pretty clear statement via Twitter that they won't continue production on the fifth and final season as long as the WGA strike in Hollywood continues. So far, it is completely unclear how long this labor dispute will continue. So far, the record waiting time between two seasons has been almost three years. "Stranger Things" is also a series that requires a lot of post-production, which of course also shifts if there is no material.
Here's the statement: "Writing doesn't stop when filming starts. While we're excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, that's not possible during this strike. We hope that a fair deal will be negotiated quickly so that we can get back to work. Until then - over and out." You can read more about the series and the strike at Serienjunkies.de. (Adam Arndt)
