A little insight: What you can still expect
The format "Kibler sings and reads" by author Michael Kibler offers a new kind of presentation. The writer, who is known as the spiritual father of the Darmstadt investigative team led by Steffen Horndeich, reads from his crime novels and sings a song together with his band "The Gym". In terms of content, the song plays a role in the upcoming lyrics, but not only that.
Gisa Klönne was born in Darmstadt in 1964 and is now a successful writer, writing coach and yoga teacher living in Cologne. Particularly well-known are her detective novels about Inspector Judith Krieger, which reached a total circulation of half a million and were awarded prizes such as the GLAUSER Prize. At the CRIMINALE, she will present her latest Darmstadt short thriller "Herons, Ponds, Death", in which a drizzle, poor visibility and a talkative lifeguard complicate the investigation in the Woog.

Former policeman Jörg Schmitt-Kilian shares amusing anecdotes from his service at the notorious 1st police station in the old town of Koblenz, which is also called the "Kowelenzer Davidwache" because of its similarities to the famous Hamburg Davidwache. From his book "ALLZEIT BEREIT" he presents "the best of" of the more than 200 blue light stories that would also inspire bestseller colleagues such as Michi Kobr/Volker Klüpfel and Rita Falck to vivid imagination if they were to describe these curious events in their novels with cult figures such as Kluftinger and Eberhofer. In some unbelievable stories, Jörg Schmitt-Kilian even presents photos, interrogation passages and report reports as "evidence" to strain the audience's laughing muscles.
These readings and much more await you in Darmstadt over the next few days.
