Pokémon Cards: This rare Pikachu sold for $300,000
Why is the Pokémon card so special? Before our own collection is rummaged through, we unfortunately have to give the all-clear. The Pokémon card, which changed hands for $300,000, was no ordinary one that could be drawn in normal Bosster packs. Here in Germany, no one is likely to be in possession of the rare card. Rather, Trophy Pikachu, as the card is called, is a Pokémon card that was only issued to winners of the first TCG tournament in 1997.

For some years now, Pokémon cards have been experiencing a true renaissance: streamers like Logan Paul have invested a small fortune in the coveted Pokémon cards. In America, even a cunning employee tried to grab valuable holo cards after printing and resell them.
