That's why he's in the process of being recalled.

Ham recall – Stated shelf life is over 20 years in the future
In a press release, the manufacturer writes that it cannot be ruled out that individual packages of the product have been marked with an incorrect best-before date. A best-before date is indicated on the affected packaging that is more than 20 years in the future – October 0, 2046.
The actual best-before date is much closer to the present and is June 3, 2023. Until this time, the manufacturer guarantees the specific properties of his product. After that, the manufacturer advises against eating the ham.
