The most beautiful garden does not really come into its own if unsightly moss grows in it. Cola is a natural and effective remedy for greenery.
Cold days coupled with a lot of rainfall make moss appear out of nowhere on your stairs, terrace or on the edge of your lawn. Since methods such as scarifying or scraping are associated with a lot of effort, it is good to know that there are also very simple home remedies for the green nuisance.
Moss in the garden: cola is a simple and effective home remedy

Whether on the terrace, the balcony or simply on the lawn - moss is more than disturbing and quickly makes the garden look unkempt. If you don't want to use chemicals that harm the environment and insects, but also don't have the handicraft equipment like a scarifier, you can simply take a look in your refrigerator. You can easily fight moss-covered areas in the garden with cola as follows:
- To do this, put the cola on a sponge, cloth or brush and rub the drink on the affected areas. Leave it on for a short time and then wipe again with water.
- When used on the lawn, a quick, homemade spray is more suitable. To do this, put undiluted cola in a spray bottle and spray it on the affected areas. Nice side effect: The sweet mixture attracts bees and bumblebees into your garden.
- Caution: Caution should be exercised with light or delicate stones, as the sugar drink may rub off.
The phosphoric acid contained in cola ensures that the moss disappears. Alternatively, you can also put moss on the skin with coffee grounds.

But cola is not only a miracle weapon against moss: rust stains on secateurs or other tools, calcified nozzles on hoses, showers or planters - after treatment with the soft drink, the devices look like new again. Here, too, the phosphoric acid contained has a similar effect to vinegar.
