Munich – Charles III is the new, newly crowned King of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The pictures of the solemn ceremony in London went around the world. The supermarket chain Rewe used one of the photos of Charles' big day for a very special advertisement. On Instagram, Rewe posted a photo montage showing Charles seated next to a can of baked beans instead of his crown. In addition, the text "When breakfast kicks at the coronation" could be read. Charles' facial expression matched it – beans are known to cause flatulence. Baked beans are considered a traditional English breakfast.

"The freshly baked king puts the bean on the whole thing!" the caption read. Rewe's users and followers celebrated the post – it was liked almost 10,500 times (as of May 8, 2023, 21:51 p.m.).
Many laughing emojis in the comments made this impression clear: "One hundred percent my humor. Sweetened my Sunday," one user wrote. "I can't take it anymore," they continued, and "Okay, he's good." One user joined in in the style of Rewe: "At least the celebration wasn't too bloated," he wrote.

But not everyone liked the special Rewe photomontage. "Thank God Lady Diana didn't live to see this, she has to turn over in her grave," said one Instagram user. And another found the Rewe post "borderline and rather inappropriate today".
