"Materia viva" was presented in Rome, a documentary film on the recycling of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with the participation of testimonials such as Susan Sarandon, Shailene Woodley, Carlo Conti, Alessandro Del Piero, Federica Pellegrini, Francesco Arca, Tamara Donà and Francesca Fialdini.
"Materia viva" is written by Andrea Frassoni and Marco Falorni, who directed it together with Stefania Vialetto. It is produced by Libero Produzioni in collaboration with the recycling consortium Erion Weee and is sponsored by the Ministries of Environment and Energy Security and Culture. After a film premiere, it will be broadcast by Rai and will be available on RaiPlay. The documentary film will then be made available to schools throughout Italy.
"From a research we conducted with Ipsos - said Giorgio Arienti, General Manager of Erion Weee - it emerges that one in two Italians still does not know the meaning of the word WEEE, and that 2 out of 3 do not know how to properly dispose of their electrical and electronic waste. 55% of Italians do not know the 1 against 0 withdrawal by the shops and only 36% use the collection services provided by law. These data make it clear that there is an information gap to be filled as soon as possible".
