The moment when a producer hits financier Daniel Casanovas, accused of scams, in a restaurant in Salta.
The man who dresses a diver of the Racing Stones – a faction of the bar of the Avellaneda club – and gets up from his seat to hit him in the face is Lucas Balbi. It is from the Province of Buenos Aires, but has fields in Salta. You are one of the creditors who claims the amount that corresponds to you.
"Who are you greeting, piece of garca?! Who are you greeting?!" reproaches Balbi at the beginning of the video. Casanovas does not shrink and seems to answer him. "Son of whores," the other responds and gives him the first blow, which blows his glasses.
Balbi is reassured by other diners, but he continues to accuse the businessman of being a "delinquent". "Do you know who this is?" they say. And the beating continues: he kicks him, grabs him by the clothes and continues to punch him.
"Thief, thief! You shitty thief!" exclaims Balbi, while the other adjusts his clothes and backpack and trots out of the place along a side path.
According to Rosario 3, Casanovas proposed in recent days a method of payment to its creditors. He weighed the debts for grains and for dollars. In addition, he offered to pay up to 100 thousand pesos in cash and the rest in six installments updated at low interest rates.
Balbi owes about $2 million, though he's not the only one to suffer. In addition to Cereales del Sur, Casanovas had problems with the Northern Livestock Trust, dedicated to cattle fattening, and with stock exchange agencies based in Rosario.
They estimate that, in total, the debt amounts to 1,000 million pesos.
In 2019, some 70 affected families had moved to Funes to protest in front of the country Mirasoles, where Casanovas lived at the time.
