(by Marzia Apice) (ANSA) - GENOA, 10 MAY - From the close encounter with vanGogh to the shots of Doisneau, up to the tribute to Rotella and the immersion in the fabulous 80s: these are this week's exhibitions. GENOA - At Palazzo Ducale "5 minutes with van Gogh", a special appointment curated by Costantino D'Orazio, which allows the public a "close encounter" with the great artist: from May 12 to September 10 will be exhibited one of the iconic works of the painter, Landscape with sheaves eluna nascente made in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in July 1889, which can be admired in solitude (or in pairs, or infamily, but still in an intimate and exclusive way).
MILAN - An anthology with 130 shots to tell one of the most famous and appreciated photographers of the '900: it is simply entitled "Robert Doisneau" the tribute exhibition set up at the Diocesan Museum Carlo Maria Martini from 9 May to 15 October.
The exhibition, curated by Gabriel Bauret, recounts over 50 years of career and is composed of black and white images - including the famous Le baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville of 1950 - all from the collection of the Atelier Robert Doisneaua Montrouge.
TURIN - "LaMole delle meraviglie" opens on May 10 at the National Cinema Museum, an exhibition curated by Stefano Bessoni and Domenico De Gaetano, which tells in 150 works the areas in which Bessoni's expressive research moves, from fairy tales to the world of science, from illustrations to stop-motion animation and the manufacture of puppets, up to the great love for cinema. Set up until September 11, the exhibition also has a special focus on Maria Adriana Prolo, scholar, collector and visionary, founder of the National Cinema Museum, who with her determination and dedication has given life to a dream perfectly outlined by Bessoni's dreamlike language.
ROME - The Giuliani Foundation hosts "Blue Nacht", from 11 May to 21 July, by the German artist Raphaela Simon. Curated by Adrienne Drake, the exhibition brings for the first time in Italy about 30 works created by the artist, born in 1986: large canvases, with deceptively simple and indistinct shapes on monochromatic backgrounds. From 10 May to 30 July at Palazzo delle Esposizioni "Dieter Kopp. Tradition and freedom", edited by the philosopher Giorgio Agamben: a path that documents the over 50 years of activity of the painter presenting a selection of works (oils, mainly, on canvas or on wood, but also drawings made with different techniques especially pastels) in which all his favorite themes return, from still lifes to nudes, from bowls to the landscapes of Paros to the views of Rome. At Palazzo Braschi on May 13 open two new exhibitions for the Daily Review: one by Jacopo Rinaldi (until June 4), which presents works characterized by an artistic practice aimed at research that often involves public archives, private funds and databases; the other (until July 2) by the artists Ryts Monet and Alterazioni Video, which investigates a line of contemporary Italian art that can be defined as 'anti-monumental'.
FORTE DEI MARMI - The exhibition "Mimmo Rotella the multifaceted genius" will remain set up until September 17th, in the spaces of VillaBertelli. Curated by Edoardo Falcioni, the exhibition brings together 45 famous and historical works, which trace the artist's gestures and techniques.
SERAVEZZA (Lu) - At the Palazzo Mediceo from 6 May to 16 July"Return to the 80s. Modern mythology", exhibition born from an idea by Davide Monaco and curated by Francesco Ristori. Along the way, the myths, symbols, fashions and customs that characterized the decade are rediscovered through extraordinary objects, such as the unique DeLorean, the Back to the Future time machine, the Rubik's cube - here in gigantic dimensions -, one of the 20 examples of the Proust armchair painted by Mendini or the original ball signed by all the players of the 1982 World Cup.
MORESCO (Fm) - From May 14 to June 25 at Tomav Torre diMoresco Visual Arts Center the solo exhibition of Minus.log "Sullasoglia del silenzio", curated by Antonello Tolve. The aim of the new project of the Abruzzo collective is to fathom and then represent silence and empty space as necessary elements to connect with oneself and the world. (ANSA).
