The Slovak President, Zuzana Caputova, announced today the names of the ministers of the government of technicians, who will be appointed on Monday 15 May. As already emerged, Ludovit Odor, deputy governor of the Slovak National Bank (NBS), will be appointed premier. The foreign minister will be diplomat Miroslav Wlachovsky, a former adviser to Prime Ministers Mikulas Dzurinda and Eduard Heger. The defense ministry will be headed by Martin Sklenar, a close associate of outgoing Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad. Michal Horvath, the central bank's chief economist, will head finance. Caputova said she had been working on the team's formation since January, since the no-confidence vote of Eduard Heger's government dates back to December 2022.
