We had forgotten him but he insisted on coming back. The 13th episode of "Koh-Lanta, the sacred fire", broadcast this Tuesday, May 16 in the evening on TF 1, marks the return of the talisman. Of unequal utility during the first part of the adventure, missing since the reunification, this protective object emerges from Denis Brogniart's hat from the comfort game, opportunely renamed "Trial of the sacred fire".
But be careful! During his short vacation, the piece of wood gained "expanded power". It no longer protects only its holder or the person to whom it is transmitted. It now makes untouchable its wearer and an adventurer of his choice. Please do not ask questions.
Here, here we go again Esteban
This sudden reappearance is the happiness of Laura, winner of the competition, and her chosen one, Quentin. As for Tania, good last, she leaves with a vote against her at the next council, convened in the wake of the test by Denis Brogniart. Supposed to create the surprise, this string had already been operated by the production during the 6th episode of this season. Its effect is further eroded by the obligation previously made to all adventurers to come and compete with their backpack, clue to a potential departure from the game.
The stakes of this council without totem are also diminished from the outset. The host announces that the eliminated – we learn that it is Tania – will only be ousted. Remembering the beginning of the episode, we quickly deduce that the youngest of the adventure will have to face Esteban, disappeared from the radar for about thirty minutes.
Pushed towards the exit with his partner Clémence last week, the "camelot of Chartres" was miraculously entitled to a second chance after a duel won against his comrade of misfortune. One would have thought that this victory alone would allow him to return to camp. He will finally have to triumph a second face-to-face.
Tête-à-tête on the Isle of Yellows
Rather than organizing it immediately, the production decides to make the fun last. Without really understanding why, Tania and Esteban – armed with embers offered by the production – leave for the former island of the Yellows, abandoned since the reunification. This is followed by a long one-on-one one-day tête-à-tête, the interest of which is difficult to grasp. In an attempt to inject rhythm, this stay of the banished alternates with images of the main camp where the other adventurers are hungry, which is not very surprising after 34 days of deprivation.
The next day, Tania and Esteban finally leave their island as they had come to compete in the much-heralded "gladiatorial fight". He will be very wise. Like his career, Esteban, feverish, quickly loses the test of balancing two pots filled with water. "Sad but joyful", the "ghost" of this edition does not seem very affected by his defeat. Absence of effusion also for Tania, who nevertheless signs her second return in the adventure. See you next week!
