(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 16 - "As a child I was anorexic. It was childhood anorexia, not non-acceptance of a relationship at that time non-existent with my mother that I missed because she was elsewhere. Growing up I slowly overcome the problem but I lived it for a long time". This was underlined by the Minister for Family and Equal OpportunitiesEugenia Roccella, during a meeting organized in the Chamber on body shaming.
"I lived in Sicily - said Roccella - and the maxim analysis that my aunt, my father's sister with whom I lived, was 'the child is difficult to eat'. I lived in a small, backward but inclusive country: I would like us to recover this value today, but we must set up projects adapted to the times. We must also do it with the tools we have today."
