Silver medal for Sofia Raffaeli at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, in Baku. The Italian, reigning world champion, in the all around was surpassed only by the Bulgarian Boryana Kaleyn, who precedes her by 1,450 points (131 against 129,450). Twelfth place for the other blue, Alexandra Agiurgiuculese
"I leave this race with a medal around my neck, but I didn't give my best: until I reach perfection, indeed that is difficult, but the feeling of having done all the best on the platform, I will not be satisfied". Sofia Raffaeli says after the European silver in the all around of rhythmic gymnastics, in Baku. "In the final - says the Italian rider, reigning world champion - I didn't do anything wrong but I missed several points: I had taken something away from the qualification exercise, but then in the final I took away a little too much ... It would have been enough to redo the qualifying test". Raffaeli dedicates the medal "to all of Italy that believes in me, and to my coach Giuli", and looks ahead. "Now I think about the absolutes and then the World Cup, where I want to repeat what I did last year."
