"In the last two years we have taken pole position, but I couldn't make it happen on Sunday. Now, however, the car is much less competitive than last year. We'll see how it goes, but I'll always give it my all." This was stated by Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, interviewed by RMC Sport during a charity football match played at the Louis II stadium in Monaco, ahead of next Sunday's GP.
"I think Red Bull is stronger at all circuits, but if we can put it all together at a circuit like this, the driver can make the difference. I hope to be fit this weekend and make the difference in qualifying, so we can play on Sunday, as overtaking here is difficult."
The difference did not make it on the field, missing some scoring opportunities and also making a bad fall on an arm, fortunately without consequences. The match was also played by the other Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz, whose photo on social media showing him on the bench with a bandaged leg for a muscle problem has raised some concern among the fans of the Red.
