This is the meaning of the proposal of the deputy of the France insoumise, François Ruffin, invited this Thursday morning on the set of Franceinfo: "I am the government, I gather the student unions, I gather hotel unions and I say: I pay pieces of camping on all the campsites of the coast. "
Faced with persistent recruitment tensions, the government launched Wednesday a three-year plan 2023-2025 for seasonal workers, providing training proposals, enhanced support during the off-season or measures to facilitate housing. "We have a government that absolutely lacks pragmatism," he criticized, in formulating his proposal, "the Oceane plan", a "plan of frightening simplicity".

François Ruffin suggests putting "the need of hoteliers in front of the needs of students", that of a free campsite that "solves the problem of housing". "Another problem," he explains, "is depression in French youth. We have to open up perspectives."
The deputy of the Somme abounds: "Why should the Picards of my home stay in Picardy? Why shouldn't they be allowed to go and see the Côte d'Azur? (...) You offer that and on the other side, there is a guarantee from hoteliers to say: I will pay 2,000 euros per month and they return in September to restart their studies with 4,000 euros in their pocket. »

The government wants to encourage the rental of university housing and empty boarding schools in the summer: it aims to have 6,000 seasonal workers housed in this way by 2025. He also wants a thousand housing units in the social stock to benefit seasonal workers, in addition to the 2,090 that have been earmarked for those under 30 for rental contracts of up to one year.
Similarly, the "mobility lease", a short-term rental contract for furnished accommodation for students or people in professional mobility, will be "adapted to the constraints of seasonal workers", said the Ministry of Tourism, because it is "little used since its creation".
