Breakfast with giraffes and sleeping with the breath of the lion? The experience is possible and not far away. In Turin, Lake Eyasi is the first glamping in Italy, housed within a zoological park, the Zoom and structured as a real African resort. It is located in the Zoom Torino Biopark, on the shores of the lake and draws inspiration from the homonymous basin in Tanzania, from its biodiversity and from the two native tribes that inhabit it: the Datoga and the Hadzabe, ancestral societies that still live using barter as a means of exchange.
Composed of 36 eco-lodges and tents, all themed to recall, through materials, colors, textures, objects and details, the African atmospheres and refer to the culture of the place, it offers numerous possibilities of stay, from the most chic and comfortable solutions to the wildest ones. Lake Eyasi Glamping is a unique place where you can live a true wildlife experience, participate in exclusive activities and experience the Zoom Biopark in an even more immersive and complete way. Starting from the exclusive "Savana Terrace", located right next to the glamping, it represents the meeting point between the Serengeti habitats and "La Rupe del Masai Mara" (new 2023 - the habitat hosts a group of 3 lions - 1 male and 2 females) and is the place where you can have unique views and experience unforgettable experiences. The new area, which faithfully reproduces the African ecosystem, is spread over an area of 3,000 square meters. On the occasion of the arrival of the lions, the Zoom Foundation, in collaboration with the Wildlife Initiative and the Leopard Ecology and Conservation Foundation, is about to launch two in situ research studies (Namibia and Botswana) to census the lions and monitor their behavior to support rangers and local organizations for their conservation in the wild.

In the "Savannah Terrace" guests can have an exciting breakfast surrounded by giraffes, gazelles, ostriches and many other African species, but also sip a cocktail at sunset looking into the eyes of the lions or fall asleep with their roar. In addition, every day at 8.30 am, you can enter a park still dormant and participate in an activity, the "Secret Zoom": a 45-minute walk through the habitats, in the company of keepers, to find out what happens in the Park, before opening time, and attend the morning feeding of some animals. And at the end of the day, after an aperitif at the Monkey Terrace, with an exclusive view of the Gibbon Island, there are two options for dinner: the Ombiasy Restaurant, a welcoming and elegant place to taste Italian and international cuisine or the Malgasy pizzeria with its large outdoor area overlooking the lake.

Zoom Torino, inaugurated in 2009, is a newly designed immersive biopark. Here you can make a real journey, between Africa and Asia, discovering on foot 11 habitats (9 terrestrial and 2 aquatic) with a high experiential rate that faithfully reproduce the natural places to which they are inspired: from Madagascar to the Serengeti, up to the beaches of Cape Town. 180,000 square meters that host 300 animals - which come from other European zoological structures belonging to the Eaza (European Associations of Zoos and Aquaria) of over 80 different species that live, without nets or cages, immersed in nature in a naturalistic / architectural context created with the aim of bringing tourists as close as possible to animal species - from which they are separated only by natural elements such as plants, rocks, streams or fences - so that they can learn about the problems related to extinction and be sensitized to the need to safeguard biodiversity, support research and encourage conservation.
