More and more women are choosing to practice natural birth at home, in their privacy, surrounded by their loved ones and a small team of midwives and doctors. Rumer Willis, who gave birth to Louetta, her first child, on April 18, made this choice. In the podcast "Informed Pregnancy" broadcast on June 5, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis confided on this moment, "the most ecstatic and joyful" of all her life, although most basic.

'It was crazy'

The 34-year-old says she has been preparing for many months for her delivery alongside her partner Derek Richard Thomas, but also her mother Demi Moore and her sisters Scout LaRue and Tallulah Belle. Last April, it was in her bathtub, surrounded by her family, that Rumer Willis gave birth. Although her cervix was sufficiently dilated, she explains that her water pocket continued to swell without piercing, which is unusual. "I asked her (the midwife) if I should pierce it myself and she said yes. I said, "What? You're serious,'" she explained.

And to continue: "I slipped a finger and I felt the pocket, it was crazy. I could smell the little bag. It looked like a balloon filled with water, a little harder skin." After following the instructions of her perinatal expert to the letter, the pouch finally gave way. "The sensation is not the same when the water pocket pushes against the cervix as when the baby's head comes out."

In a post (above) posted shortly after giving birth, Rumer Willis opened up about the "most ecstatic and joyful moment" of her entire life, followed by a few strong words for her daughter. "Every moment, contraction and pain of childbirth was worth it and I would do it a thousand times if it meant being able to spend a second with you," she wrote on Instagram. He added: "I have been waiting and dreaming of you all my life. You are much more than I could have imagined. You have changed my life in the most profound way. It is the privilege and honor of my life to be your mother and I will always do anything and everything for you. I hope you never stop wanting to sleep next to me or take baths with me."

From young girl to mother

In another series of photographs, taken during childbirth, Rumer William also thanked his mother Demi-Moore, present throughout this trip. "The privilege of walking the path of motherhood with you by my side to support and guide me is something I have only dreamed of. Thank you for giving me the best space possible during my transition from young girl to mother. Thank you for helping me through this and rise to the occasion. What a gift to finally understand the depth of love you have for me and my sisters. I love you mom," it reads.

With the arrival of Louetta, Demi-Moore and Bruce Willis are grandparents for the first time. The sexagenarian also posed with her granddaughter on the occasion of Mother's Day, stamping her photo with this message: "The cycle of life".
