So the company changed the process, it also fired those who were responsible for these irregularities - he added - In a change of this magnitude there have been problems these days in the maintenance of the vehicles, which therefore in some neighborhoods were not there "and this has weighed on the service. "But - he said - this thing will save money and work better the company".
The "modernization of Ama", explained the mayor, is precisely one of the two pillars of the Capitoline policies on waste aimed at transforming it "into an efficient company, even with shocks and repercussions" that occur "when consolidated things change. But it is moving forward: we are hiring young people, we have reduced the number of people unable to work on the roads, the new management is working with great determination". There are "ups and downs because we started from below zero, but the situation is constantly improving", and the independent Agency that evaluates public services, he recalled, "certified that in the first quarter of 2023 the level of cleanliness was the highest since the surveys were made. It is still insufficient compared to the service contract, but in a constant trend of improvement".
The other pillar is the plant, which includes the famous waste-to-energy plant on which someone suspected the doubts of the dem secretary Elly Schlein.
