In the right place and at the right time: The life of a construction worker at a construction site in Ramle, near the Meuhedet Health Fund branch in the city, was saved thanks to the vigilance of a medical example at the HMO, Tatiana Atad, who noticed him being electrocuted through the window of the room where she works and quickly called a medical team who performed CPR on him and saved his life.

This incident occurred only one hour after the fatal work accident in Beersheba, in which a worker was crushed to death when a crane fell at a construction site.

Brother Shlomo Cohen, Dr. Musa Rukaba and Dr. Chen Tengis performed CPR on him for many minutes using a defibrillator device found in the clinic, until he was evacuated to Assaf Harofeh Hospital by MDA teams, fully conscious and in stable condition.

Tatiana Atad shares the critical moments when she realized that the life of the worker depended on her: "I was in the middle of a routine work day at Meuhedet Health Services when suddenly I heard shouting, looked out the window and saw a crowd of people at a construction site around a worker lying on the floor, they shook him and tried to wake him up. I immediately called the clinic's medical teams and all three of them began resuscitation."

Dr. Musa Rukaba and Dr. Chen Pangiz described the critical moments of resuscitation: "We acted quickly with the understanding that every second is critical and could cost lives. There is no doubt that in this case we were at the right time and place. We took the defibrillator in the clinic, ran with it immediately and started performing massages along with electric shocks. When we treated him, he was unconscious, and fortunately during CPR he regained consciousness and was transferred for further medical treatment in stable condition."

Danny Moshiov, Director of the Southern District of Meuhedet Health Services: "The medical teams at Meuhedet are trained and skilled in working during emergencies and providing medical assistance, and I am proud of them for their alertness and speed of response that saved lives."
