Baking your own baguette – similar to the basic recipe for sourdough – may sound like a challenge at first. With just four ingredients, the following step-by-step instructions and a little patience, the unmistakable smell of homemade bread will soon be exuding through your home.

Grilling: You only need four ingredients for the crispy baguette without sticky kneading hands

  • 4 g of fresh yeast
  • 100 ml lukewarm water
  • 125 g of flour
  • 1 level teaspoon salt

You will also need a bowl with a lid to let the dough rise. Alternatively, you can use a tea towel to cover it. In addition, it stirs more easily with a fork than with a spoon. Don't forget the right baguette baking pan and, if necessary, think of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sunflower or pumpkin seeds.

That's how easy and quick it is to prepare the grilled baguette - without kneading

  • Dissolve the yeast in the water and mix the flour and salt in a bowl.
  • Then add the yeast-water mixture to the bowl and mix the ingredients together thoroughly to form an even dough mixture - for example with the help of a fork.
  • Cover the bowl with a lid or tea towel and let the baguette dough rise at room temperature for about 90 minutes.
  • Sprinkle your work surface with a little flour and lay out the dough on top. Finally, the baguette dough roll is placed in the baguette baking sheet. Depending on your taste, you can spread sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sunflower or pumpkin seeds on the dough.
  • Bake the crispy baguette in the oven at 250 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat (230 degrees Celsius convection) for 30 minutes.
