Due to incorrect labels, the consumption of a product could have dire consequences for allergy sufferers. The affected company is now recalling the product.
Töpen - Due to incorrect labels, a food manufacturer is now recalling a vegetarian product. As the company Dennree announced on Friday, June 9, in Töpen, Bavaria, vegetarian broccoli patties are affected by the recall. For example, the batch of "Vegetable patties broccoli, 160 g" with the best-before date of July 10, 2023 is being recalled.
Meanwhile, the Haribo Group also has to recall one of its products. Two different packs are affected, while another is harmless.

As the company explains on its homepage, the recall is for reasons of preventive consumer protection. Accordingly, the back label of the vegetable patty spinach was used in individual packages, but the allergen soy contained was not declared on it. As the company further explains, people without this allergy could easily consume the product. In people with soy allergies, however, the consumption of the product can lead to an allergic reaction. Those affected should not consume the product and instead return it to the point of sale. The purchase amount for the product will be refunded to the retailer.
As the portal Lebensmittelwarnung.de reports, the following federal states are affected by the recall: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Bremen, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein, Thuringia.
Other companies also have to recall products
Other companies are also currently recalling products. Due to a possible risk of injury, Alnatura has recalled a veggie spread. There could be metal splinters in the product. Rewe is also currently affected by a recall. A vegan substitute product could contain dangerous metal parts. If consumed, there is a risk of injury.
