Meloni in Paris for Expo 2030, then the meeting with Macron

Highlights: Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will be in Paris today at the Palais des Congrès d'Issy. He will meet the President of the Republic French Emmanuel Macron. Meloni and Macron will discuss bilateral relations between France and Italy, in particular European issues. The meeting will also be an opportunity to reaffirm joint support to Ukraine on the military, humanitarian, economic, diplomatic and judicial fronts. After the bilateral meeting, the Prime Minister will move to the Italian Embassy in Paris, where she will participate in the event 'Humanlands-Together for Humanity'

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will be in Paris today at the Palais des Congrès d'Issy - where the penultimate General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) is held before the November vote that will decide the city chosen for Expo 2030 - to highlight Rome's candidacy in front of the 410 delegates. The arrival is expected around 14.40, while the intervention - of 30 minutes - will be held between 15:00, the beginning of the work, and 16:45.

After the speech, Meloni will go to the Elysée Palace, where he will meet the President of the Republic French Emmanuel Macron. The meeting will be preceded by a press statement. Meloni and Macron will discuss bilateral relations between France and Italy, in particular European issues and, it is explained, will take advantage of this meeting to prepare the European Council to be held in Brussels on 29 and 30 June and to discuss the NATO summit to be held in Vilnius on 11 and 12 July. The meeting will also be an opportunity to reaffirm joint support to Ukraine on the military, humanitarian, economic, diplomatic and judicial fronts. The program includes at 17.30 pm the arrival of Meloni and the reception by Macron in the courtyard of honor of the palace.

After the bilateral meeting, the Prime Minister will move to the Italian Embassy in Paris, where she will participate in the event 'Humanlands-Together for Humanity', a half-hour show always as part of the promotion of Rome's candidacy to host the Universal Exposition in 7 years.
