The Uzbek agency UzA and ANSA have signed a collaboration agreement that provides for the possibility for partners to use their respective information services for editorial use and to develop joint commercial offers to support the communication of institutions and companies in their respective countries.
The signing took place in digital connection between the offices of the two agencies, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Uzbekistan,Agostino Pinna, and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy Otabek Akbarov.
Ambassador Pinna said: "Relations between Italy and Uzbekistan have experienced a phase of great revival in recent years, culminating in the recent visit to Italy (7-9 June) of Uzbek President Mirziyoyev. The two countries agreed on the establishment of a multi-sectoral strategic partnership, which will lead to an increase in joint activities and initiatives. In this context, today's agreement between ANSA and UzA is a very important step, which will allow a better public knowledge of the various projects in progress.
I thank ANSA for reaching this agreement, which opens up new perspectives in the media with Uzbekistan".
Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Italy Otabek Akbarov also expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached: "I welcome the establishment of direct cooperation between Uzbekistan's main news agency - UzA and ANSA. In recent years we have witnessed a growing mutual interest of our two countries, covering institutional, economic and cultural areas. I believe that this collaboration will help our peoples to learn more about the unique historical heritages of Uzbekistan and Italy, the current priorities of life and development, as well as the main domestic and foreign policy events in the two countries. It will also contribute to a better knowledge of the great opportunities for business cooperation between companies, agencies and banks. This relationship between UzA and ANSA is absolutely consistent with the strategic partnership objectives between Uzbekistan and Italy established on June 8, 2023 during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Italy".
For UzA Director General Abdusait Kuchimov, "strengthening relations with the media on a global scale is a strategic task for UzA: for this reason we have agreed to sign an agreement with ANSA. We are actively exchanging information with major news agencies in all regions and the partnership with ANSA creates a basis for studying the activities of the entire region and for a rapid exchange of information with Europe. We strive to prepare and exchange news to improve interregional, interstate and international relations. ANSA is UzA's first information partner in Western Europe; We can say that this is therefore an important historical event".
ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri underlined that "this partnership is a further step in our international networking strategy with the main agencies around the world and will contribute to increasing the mutual knowledge of Italy and Uzbekistan; moreover, the agreement reached will allow an interesting opportunity for the development of commercial agreements in their respective countries, while our subscribers will be able to count on an even more complete and widespread information offer".
