A year and a half since releasing her debut album, Agam Bohbot is releasing her second album, "Sold Out in the Heart."

"This time the general direction was Mediterranean. Four of the six songs are ballads. I took it to the place of the music I grew up on," she says. "The single that came out a week ago, 'My Love,' is a reference to Mojda, a singer who, when I was little, everyone would say I mentioned her. I want to be more excited, these are my favorite songs to sing, and after the great success of 'Songs of Depression' from the previous album I felt that the audience was really thirsty for more music like this from me."

On the new album, Bohbot worked with quite a few artists. "I'm the center in the work process, I express my position and I know what I want," she says. "I can do a lot of things and I don't want to be labeled a pop singer or a Mediterranean singer. Working with many creators inspires me." Bohbot has been surging ahead over the past year. She is considered one of the young women who has conquered peaks in Israeli music, and according to her, "I want everything." Of the dreams she dreams, she says: "The big dream is to open shows and fill halls, like it was in my last two shows, which did a quick sell-out." I like to go step by step. I could have opened a show at Menorah or Caesarea, but I wanted to build my audience."

Another person who inspired her for years was Moshe Peretz, the mentor from the "Music School", who went a long way with her until the well-publicized breakup. "I have a new home and I'm very happy about it. Even though Moshe and I no longer work together, I love him very much, and for the rest of my life I will remember who he was to me and what he did for me.

"The media likes to create dramas, but nothing dramatic happened. It was a joint decision to separate forces after 11 years of walking together. What suited then may not necessarily be appropriate today, and it was done with great love and the decision was purely professional."

What about the game world? After doing television and theater, you seem to have left that aside.

"In the past year and a half I decided to invest all my resources and energy in music, to concentrate on the album and the performances and to be the best. Acting is a great love of mine, and I'm sure I'll do more things on television and theater in the future."
