Devout viewers of "Real Housewives Beverly Hills" (which airs on Netflix) received some tough news Tuesday morning. Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky decided to divorce after 27 years of marriage.
People magazine confirmed the breakup yesterday. A source close to the couple said the two had been "separated for a while but still live under the same roof."
Richards, 54, and Umansky, 53, met in 1994 and married two years later. Richards is known from the TV series "Little House on the Prairie" in which she played as a child and since then has continued to star in a variety of films, but received the focus on the reality series "Real Housewives Beverly Hills". With the success of the show, Umansky, a successful real estate agent, received a spin-off on Netflix under the name "The Agency" documenting his success in the field.
Just earlier this month, Richard's shared family photos on Instagram congratulating Umansky on Father's Day. She wrote: "I am grateful that our daughters have such an amazing father who lovingly accompanies them. He's always there and doesn't know how to say no. He definitely deserves the best father award."

The couple share three daughters: Alexia Simone, 27; Sophia Kiely, 23; and Portia, 15. Richards' eldest daughter, Farrah Brittany Aljopra, 34, was born when the reality star was married to Guraish Eldjefrey from 1988 to 1992. In 1996, Richards underwent conversion to marry Umansky, a Mexican-born Jew.

The announcement of the divorce comes after Richards was photographed without her wedding ring in April. Umansky dismissed the rumors, saying, "It's just a rumor, this story got out of hand. They talked about it on 'Housewives' and now it's become an issue."
Richards made her Bravo Channel debut in 2010 when "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" premiered, and was joined by sister Kim Richards. Their older sister, Kathy Hilton, appeared later. For more than 10 seasons, Richards' marriage was put to the test and now it has come to an end.
