Highlights: Kate Middleton wore a green jacket and a white pleated skirt to Wimbledon. The outfit is reminiscent of the one Diana wore to her first event as a princess in 1982. Kate also wore a pair of white heels from the brand Gianvito Rossi, which cost $775. She was watching British tennis star Katie Boulter play against Australian Daria Savile in the women's singles final on Centre Court. The match ended in a 6-1, 6-4 victory for Savile.

Diana often wore a long pleated skirt with a blazer or sweater and this item became one of her identifying features.

This isn't the first time Kate has chosen a fashion tribute to the late princess. Two weeks ago, she opted for a green jacket for Tropping the Color, just as Diana wore to her first event as a princess in 1982.
