Beware of melons bought in a Lidl store in Gironde, Lot-et-Garonne, Landes or Pyrénées-Atlantiques! The brand has announced the recall of some Charentais melons sold in its stores. The cause? Too high a level of pesticides. This applies to Charentais melons sold between 10 and 29 June.

The distributor noticed that this type of melon exceeded the maximum limit of residues of the molecule "flonicamide". It is a chemical pesticide, intended to fight aphids, says Sud Ouest.
It is recommended to destroy the melons or bring them back to the sign for refund. Lidl announced that the recall process would continue until July 17. If you have one of these melons, it is strongly recommended not to consume them, says the site Rappel Conso.
The list of affected supermarkets, mainly in the South, is available here. More than 2,000 dangerous or defective products are recalled each year. Recently, for example, boxes of Lustucru pasta have been recalled throughout the France for a risk of Listeria.
