(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 05 - A heart of red and white roses with the inscription "I love you" is the wreath of flowers that Michelle Causo's boyfriend left in front of the church of SantaMaria della Presentazione, where this morning the funeral of the 17-year-old girl killed last Wednesday was held.
Next to it are the crowns of the president of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca, and the mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri.
Many friends of the victim filled the church and the square outside carrying bouquets of roses, sunflowers and white balloons.
"What happened speaks of a broken world, which burns youth, which pursues illusions, which no longer knows how precious a life is," said Bishop Baldo Reina. It can happen that life is trivialized so as to drag into abanality even evil, which we have the duty to distinguish and eradicate. Our pain now becomes a denunciation, but it also becomes a change.
