As part of the Tel Aviv Dance Festival 2023, 18 dance performances will be held - from ballet to mime - alongside a variety of special events, including workshops for the general public and collaborations with "The Teder".

The opening act of the festival will be "All I Need" by the Swiss-French Beaver Dam Company, led by choreographer Edouard Ho – a whirlwind show inspired by contemporary political figures, with a poignant social statement about power, anarchy and freedom.

Next up will be "A Corfu Libero" by Italian Silvia Gribaudi, a humorous show that presents the cry of a freedom-loving woman; the show "Witness" by Vera Ondersikova from the Czech Republic, which will offer a look at man's relationship with nature; and "Merhavim" by Israeli Stav Strooz, which will present through dance the silenced voices of people who are fed up with the image of heroism.

Another intriguing show will be Yasmin Godder's "S.O.S: Songs of Sequence," in which an ensemble of 11 dancers will welcome the audience on a joint journey to create a community based on empathy.

This year as well, after last year's great success, the festival opens its doors to the local and international community of Streetdance, in order to allow dancers and new audiences exposure to different styles such as hip-hop, breakdancing and more. During the festival, there will be a "Cypher Connection" - a hip-hop event open to the public in the main plaza of the Suzanne Dellal Center.

Anat Fisher Leventon, CEO of the Suzanne Dellal Center: "Tel Aviv Dance is an annual festival that has been held at the Suzanne Dellal Center for 25 years. This year we emphasized the festival's content as a representative celebration of Israeli dance alongside a diverse and up-to-date international offering. We invite the general public to discover new talents, witness performances from different cultures and styles and enjoy performances suitable for dance lovers as well as the whole family."

Naomi Perlov, Artistic Director of the Suzanne Dellal Center: "The festival invites us to discover the unique and fascinating world of each artist through whom we draw a new perspective on dance, which plays a vital role in rapprochement, bridging differences between cultures and fostering the international language of dance that brings everyone together. The festival is a magnet for international artists, alongside the promotion of old and new local artists, including the creators and solo dancers of the 3|2|1 program, which the center is promoting for the second year."

The Tel Aviv Dance Festival will take place between July 18 and August 3.
