For the 20th year, the Israeli Opera and the Tel Aviv Municipality will hold the "Opera in the Park" event at Ganei Yehoshua. This year it will be the opera Madame Butterfly, which will be staged on August 3.
Puccini's beloved opera will be staged in a special production, with the participation of dozens of singers and dancers and accompanied by the opera orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion. The evening will be conducted by Dan Ettinger, directed by Gadi Shechter.

"Madame Butterfly" tells the story of a Japanese girl who falls in love with Pinkerton, an American naval officer, marries him, gives birth to his son, and discovers upon his arrival after a three-year absence that he has married an American woman. She decides to maintain her dignity and takes her life in her hands while her little boy is left with his father and wife.
