More than a week has passed since pop queen Madonna, 64, was found unconscious in her home and rushed to intensive care, and new details about the medical drama continue to be updated on websites.

"Those who found it had to use Narcan (a drug used to counterbalance the effects of opioid overdoses such as heroin or morphine, as well as in life-threatening situations of central nervous system and respiratory system suppression and decreased blood pressure; c) to bring her back to life," sources told Rader Online.
Despite the widespread use of Narcan to treat overdoses, it is also used to treat septic shock, from which Madonna reportedly suffered, and there is no evidence that she used hazardous substances prior to her collapse.

Since Madonna was released from the hospital, reports about the Queen of Pop's medical condition have been partial and contradictory, leaving her fans worried and confused. On Thursday, a week after she was released from the hospital, TMZ reported that Madonna's recovery was slower than expected. "She is weak, very tired and bedridden," her associates told the website.
"Although Madonna expects to return to work as soon as possible, she takes the recovery process seriously and is not going to rush because she is focused on her health above all," another insider told Us Weekly. "She is surrounded by an amazing supportive environment and she appreciates all the love she receives."

Madonna was discharged to her New York home last Thursday after she was found unconscious at home and admitted to intensive care on a ventilator and anesthetized. A relative of the singer told the Daily Mail that "the family was convinced that she would lose her and that Madonna would put her career and fame before her health until the day she died."
It was also reported that Madonna exhausted herself training for her tour, which was scheduled to begin next Saturday, and suffered from a high fever for a month before collapsing at home and being found unconscious.

Amid reports of her poor health, Madonna's best friend, actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell, updated on her Instagram after Madonna's release from the hospital that the singer was actually doing better than it seemed. "She's doing well. She is recovering at home. She's very strong overall," she said, encouraging and reassuring fans.
