Ascoli Piceno returns to be the world capital of olives. Appointment from 10 to 21 August in Piazza Arringo for the tenth edition of "Ascoliva Festival", with the claim "An olive is forever", to end on the evening of August 21. The event was presented by the mayor of Ascoli Marco Fioravanti together with the regional councilor for agriculture Andrea Maria Antonini, the president of Bim Tronto Luigi Contisciani and other partners such as the Consortium for the protection and enhancement of the Ascoli olive of Piceno Dop and the Consortium for the protection of Piceno wines.
The 2023 edition of Ascoliva will maintain the same winning formula as in previous years, with the Piceno PDO Ascoli olive protagonist together with 12 other traditional local dishes prepared by six local producers: visitors will be able to appreciate the tastings also inside the municipal garden and, for this tenth edition, also in a special area inside the Palaoliva, that is an elegant pavilion that will also host an events area as well as other exhibitors of typical local products, the Olive Monument for selfies and also information services and for booking tourist guides.
Thanks to the specific coupon, contained in the ticket of the tastings, visitors to Ascoliva and the city will be able to obtain discounts and benefits for the civic museums and the tourist train, but also for visits with guides as well as for shopping or drinks in some activities of the city.
Also this year Ascoliva Festival will maintain a strong tourist cut, considering that with the national communication campaign (thanks also to the fruitful collaboration also with the Tipicità circuit) and local it is estimated to have reached about 500 thousand people (over 400 thousand already through social campaigns alone). To give further luster to the event is the inclusion of Ascoliva Festival on the home page of the official website of the Ministry of Tourism, www.italia.it.
The other important novelty of Ascoliva Festival 2023 is represented by the creation of a festival within the festival: it will be the Festival of Knowledge & Flavors that will flank, practically every day, in-depth cultural events with protagonists and realities of the Piceno territory and initiatives related to food and wine and olive in particular, to shows and entertainment initiatives.
