Want to bake a creative cake that not only has a curious name, but also tastes delicious? Try the spin-around cheesecake.
The following recipe is a cheesecake in which the batter base and the quark topping swap places during baking - hence the name "turn-around-cake". Don't worry, you don't have to do anything for this, the cream filling will automatically sink to the bottom, whereas the bottom will move upwards.
Recipe: Here's what you'll need for the creamy spin-around cheesecake
For the cake batter:
- 150 g of sugar
- 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
- 150 g butter
- 3 eggs
- 150 g of flour
- 1 sachet of baking powder

For the cake filling:
- 150 g of sugar
- 150 g butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 pack of vanilla pudding powder
- 100 ml lemon juice
- 500 g cottage cheese
You'll also need some butter or margarine to grease the baking pan and, to taste, some powdered sugar to dust the cake. Speaking of curious names: Do you already know the sawdust cake with grated coconut and vanilla cream from the Fuldaer Zeitung?

The Allgäu cherry cake combines sweet vanilla pudding with crispy almond slivers, whereas the peach melba cake tastes wonderfully sweet of vanilla and raspberry. Or you can opt for a cake that doesn't need to be baked at all, such as the Monte cake or the simple summer strawberry cake with a biscuit base.
