Fortnite: Numerous innovations for Chapter 5 in prospect - also with open world
Here's what we know so far: In the coming months, Epic Games will probably come up with new features and game modes atFortnite. Season 4 of Chapter 4, for example, has just started, but "Season 5" is already said to bring a gigantic collaboration between Fortnite and Lego for a month. Also, for Chapter 5, which starts in December, a racing game mode, similar to Mario Kart, is already in prospect for Fortnite.
Open World for Chapter 5: But this may not be the only major innovation waiting in Chapter 5. Various Fortnite Insiders recently announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the next chapter will begin with a big event and new game mode. This game mode is not yet known exactly, but it seems certain that Fortnite will get a new open world for it.
Fortnite: Wild Animals, Regions and Three Acts – Here's what we know about the new open world
So what does this open world game mode look like? Specific information on the type of game mode is not yet available. However, it is conceivable that behind the codename Arnold there could be a PvE mode with possible co-op multiplayer. Insider Happy Power has already commented on various key data:
- Open World Mode will be released with Chapter 5 Season 1
- Will comprise 3 acts
- Map is divided into several regions: Forest, Plains, Bamboo, Farm, Rivers, Jungle
- A ton of new wildlife and NPCs: Skyjellies, Smackie, Jellyfish, Nug, Burt, Crow, Robert and Grandma
- Game mode gets its own lobby
- In one section of the game, the Battle Bus will be "unavailable"
- Has a feature for dynamic POIs in three levels
It is not yet possible to say how much truth there is in HappyPower's statements. After all, there is always talk of big new features for the Battle Royale. But there is still no first-person mode in Fortnite, even if there has been talk of it several times. At the same time, it is again noteworthy that several insiders independently share the same information with the public.
